Seven year old male Dobie "huffs" after vomiting last night...help, please.

I have a seven year old male Dobie who before last night was happy and healthy, now I am looking for some advice.  Here's what happened, we were in the living room and out of nowhere he vomitted up green/yellowish bile and also a dog biscuit he ate just moments before he threw up.  After getting the carpet steamer out and started to clean, I noticed that he had resorted to the bedroom because he thought he had done wrong, poor baby. About five minutes later I went to check on him and right when I walked in he threw up again. I quickly turned him outside, in case it was going to happen again.  Thank goodness it didn't and I thought the problem was over. After he came back inside, I noticed that for a few seconds he would make a "huffing" sound.  It wasn't a cough or an inhale then exhale kind of thing, to describe it the best way, it was like he was hyperventalating, but like I said, exhaling instead of inhaling.  He didn't have an appetite for about 20 hours afterwards, but would chug water. He had about four of those episodes, but I have noticed they have stopped since then. Is it possible that he may have had a sore throat from vomitting or would it be something more serious?  I haven't noticed anymore "huffing" noises and he seems to be getting his appetite back. Thanks for any advice you can give.

first I hope he feels better,
I have a dog kobe did the same thing, i noticed that in what he threw up there was something blue that looked like crayons so maybe he chewed on this blue things and it was what caused him to spit up.
Later he kept making the huffing sound but eventually he stopped, also i did noticed that he continued to eat no change in his appetite.
Best wishes..<3

It's possible, while vomiting, something "went down the wrong way" like when we drink and the same thing happens?
Either that, or the reason he vomited in the first place was he got something stuck perhaps? and it made him retch?

I really don't know for sure, and can only say the usual.....keep an eye on him, and if he settles down and goes back to his usual self, then it was 'one of those things' and probably nothing to worry about. Any replay of the strange breathing, or any more vomiting, and  it would be best to take him to the vet.
