Scared of whiite diarrhea

My dachshund/pug mix is healthy (five yrs old) but had white diarrhea today and it scared me. He has been eating white snack edible bones from Walmart. Should I be concerned? I've taken his food up for now. Please help?

You can stop giving him that treat! Diarrhea in dogs can be fatal, so you have to know what to do when this type of digestive distress hits your pooch. Bring him to vet this instance, he knows the proper medication for your furry kids' condition.

Hi. The colour is almost certainly due to the treat you have given him. High levels of calcium and/or food dye can cause stools to become white. The stools should return to normal within a matter of a few days, but if they continue, it's worth having your vet check for changes in the pancreas and/or gall bladder. It is also worth noting that excessive calcium in regular treats can also cause problems long term, so they are best given only very occasionally.Raw diets can also produce white stools - as they can also occur due to bones being given (again, it's the calcium content of bones that causes the discolouration). Welcome....I don't know which snacks these are, but there are very few treats at Wal-Mart that are not dangerous!!! Please, throw them away.....Add some canned pumpkin (About a tsp. per meal) to his diet for a few days to clear up the diarrhea.......He should be fine!

I would not worry, but I would not give him those treats again, either.  Evidently, they did not agree with him.
