Stage 4 Kidney Disease

My little girl was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease in late June of this year.  She has seen a specialist who though it may be worth while to test for Leptospirosis.  Her tests came back with a low positive score so she was treated with antibiotics and confirmed with Lepto.  After dealing with an uncaring vet I decided to move practices and have just found out that all the test and all the antibiotics were worthless.  My new vet said that the test scores and type of lepto she had should have told my vet that they low positive score was her body reacting to the vaccine and not the disease itself.  I am devistated again. My new vet has recommended a Renal Prescrition diet...can anyone recommend one?  All her food is home cooked - rice, vegetables, egg whites, turkey, rabbit, pork because she has ibd and a prolapsing left mitrial valve.  Can anyone recommed anything else?  Its upsetting because she looks fairly well and is maintaining her weight.  Its cruel shes so much wrong and this on top of everything else.
