Torbutrol medication and dogs
Hi all, had anyone had a dog that was given an intermuscular injection of the veterinary pain killer Torbutrol? Can you please share how your dog appeared under the effects of it? I've been told it's a safe drug but am very traumatized on how my dog looks when on Torbutrol. Never seen her like that..please let me know how your dog acted on Torbutrol injection? Thank you so much.
Thank you, BluCrystal. My dog is completely immobile, when I got her off the couch she fell. And her eyes are open but she seems to be out of it:( and she pants! A lot.. Is that all normal?? I'm so confused. :(
Yes. I worked for a vet 8 years, and saw plenty of dogs on torb. They look very drugged, if you will. Your dog needs supervision when under the influence of torb, as he could easily hurt himself. Don't worry, tho. It wears off after a little while. Blessings - Blu
