Two dogs had a "moment" ~eye injury

A friend of mine has two dogs that were in a kennel and we were outside checking on them and noticed that they must have had a "moment." We cleaned them both up and from the looks of it they got eachother kinda good. My concern is an eye injury that one of them has...It was fine the day we check on him but it seems to be swelling a lot underneath the eye pushing the lower part under his eye ball out some..Is this mostly a vet thing or is there anything we can do???? Otherwise he is acting fine and seems to be able to see out of the eye at least from what we can tell...Please help.

This is definitely a "vet thing"!!  I am really worried the eye may need to be removed, so get that dog to a vet today.  All that swelling from infection behind the eye can also cause meningitis which can be fatal, so there is no time to lose.

A similar incident happened to a neighbor's dog several years ago, and the eye had to be removed because the infection could have blinded the other eye by traveling along the optic nerve.  The dog did just fine after surgery.
