Very odd dog question

If you were asleep in your underwear and had a 'morning erection' and your dog sat with her butt on your crotch/penis, could you get any diseases/bacteria from the dog?  It's pretty gross and embarrassing and I'd like to stop worrying about it.  I know dogs have many different bacteria and parasites that live in their digestive system/fecal matter, hence the concern.

Thanks.

Well, if you washed or showered pretty soon after then there wouldn't be chance for any germs to really take hold.

And even so, I am of the belief that we are very tough really, and our immune systems (if we are pretty healthy) can put up with quite a lot naturally. If you knew the times I have played frisbee over and over out in the fields with my dog, then eaten something (without washing those hands, as I knew I should!) ....or even kissed my dog's head before remembering the dirty water that her dog-friend shook on her only a few hours ago!.... -and yet never even once come down with a stomach upset from all that dirt (and terrible germs!).... I think you wouldn't be too worried about what happened to you.

I am pretty sure you will be just fine. But of course do watch for any symptoms of irritation, or soreness or anything untoward, and if so, visit the doc.

I can assure you that I did not have sex with the dog.  There was contact that made/makes me very uncomfortable, particularly given the thin underwear in question.  I know I'm probably being paranoid, but you never know.

Thanks.

It's more likely you gave her something! Pratice good hygiene and you'l be fine. There are no STD's your gonna get from your dog. Drop it and move on.  Good luck!!

If what you describe happened exactly the way you describe it, and isn't a euphemism for something else....you probably don't have much to worry about.
Something else.....and you probably do.
