allergies or what?

My Jack Russel mix 5 year old female had 2 episodes of weezing heavily for air.  She has droopy eyes, nose congestion, repeatedly and quickly licks her nose, and started panting (it's not hot).  She also has a lack of appetite.  She has been in very good health until today.  Is this just a cold or allergies?  How long should I wait until taking her to the vet?

Like anxiety11 said - don't wait to take her to the vet!  Hope it turns out to be something easily treated and she's back on her paws soon.  :-)

Is she eating anything? drinking? any vomit? or diarrhea? Dogs can have allergies, but if she is having breathing problems and a lack of appetite I think you should bring her to the vet as soon as you can get her in.  She sounds really congested so you would rather get that taken care of sooner before she gets really sick.  See how she is in the Am ~ If no better call your vet.  Good Luck!
