Ditto what lindapalm wrote! :-) The same thing happened with a dog my sister had years ago. She was overworked and had 4 small children at home. The poor dog tried so hard to please, but my sister couldn't be pleased with anything at that time in her life. Every time she so much as passed by the dog, she rolled on her back and peed. That's a classic example of submissive urination from a dog who knows she's the lowest member of the pack.
I dog sat her for a week while my sister's family was out of town and never had a problem with her. My dogs showed her the ropes within a couple hours, and she never had an accident or exhibited any urinary problems at all. Once she went back home, the problem returned.
Many times it's not the dog that is the problem. It's the owner unwittingly giving signals to the dog and neither understanding one another. In these cases, you'll need a veterinary behaviorist to help you out rather than a basic obedience trainer. A behaviorist will be able to teach you how to read your dog's body language and how to appropriately respond to it.
On a Cesar Millan show when a dog peed when the owner came home it was because the dog was very glad to see the owner, and the owner greeted him with a high pitched voice and treats. Cesar told him to ignore the dog when he walked in the house and not give him any eye contact and not pay attention to him until he was calm. Maybe if you don't get excited with her and keep calm it will help. Also, if shes peeing in her bed, maybe crate training would help, their not supposed to pee in them cause they sleep in them. Good Luck
We have her for 7 months. We took her to the vet they said nothing. she dribbles when excited, scared or just because in her bed.
Does she pee mostly when shes excited or scared, or for no reason? If its for no reason and she just dribbles, I would think its something medical.
Have you taken her to your vet? She might have some sort of urinary tract infection or somthing....Also dogs will pee when they are being submissive...How long have you had her?
