beagle in pain
12 yr old beagle in pain when walkin. will not go up stairs. will manage goin down. can't walk far before must sit/lay. won't drink water. only eats wet canned food. He hasn't pooped to my knowledge and will only pee twice a day mostly because he won't do stairs. Yelps when picked up to carry him up stairs. been this way far 5 days. vets told me three months ago he has lots of tumors in his mouth. Can you guide us.
Your guy needs to see his Vet for pain management......Other than the tumors in his mouth (That I personally would get taken care of quickly), his other symptoms sound like aging arthritis......Your Vet can prescribe Anti- inflammatories that will work wonders to ease his pain......
There is no reason for him to suffer like this as the meds from your Vet will give him a new lease on life.....Please, get him there as soon as you can....Let us know how he's doing....Karla
