dog having ingested bone meal three days ago and is lethargic
My hybrid dog (part wolf , part shepherd) is ll yrs old and weighs about 110 lbs. Three days ago i noticed him lethargic and shivering. i later discovered a chewed empty bag of bone meal (fertilizer for bulbs). he has not eaten since but is drinking. i have not noticed any bowel movements since then. He isnt himself, just resting and appears not well. What should i do, or give him?
He hasn't eaten in three days!!! I agree with have 2 kids, take him to the vet right away!
being lethargic and shivering can be signs of dehyrdration. Also no bowel movements for several days is considered an emergency due to possible blockage and perferation of the bowel.
as i mentioned this happened days ago. why are you feeling this is an emergency. please give me details and your experience. thanks
