He got a good report from the vet today, his lungs sound good, his temperature is normal, and he gained half a pound in a week, so maybe he will be ok.
Thanks he is going to the vet today for his first shot and ckeck up. I know about a puppy chewing furniture and shoes LOL I have a 3 year old great Dane I got when he was 4 months old we went through a lot of shoes and lost a coffee table and my kids lost lots of toys he still chews stuff every now and then I try to keep him bone to keep him busy. But thanks for your answer I will take all the info I can get, I can't lose him to I will do whatever it takes to keep him healthy and safe.
He's ADORABLE! Good luck at the vet's! Please keep us updated on his progress. It will be fun to see pics of him as he grows!

thank you. He has an appointment with the vet tomorrow. I posted pictures of him
I'm sorry to hear about the puppy you lost. It's so sad when the little ones don't make it.
Your surviving puppy needs to get to the vet ASAP for vaccinations. Because you have had them since they were born, they did not get adequate colostrum from their mother's milk to supply the antibodies that they need to help them fight off disease. This is DEADLY in a young puppy. The very first milk that a mother provides to her baby is called colostrum and it contains all the antibodies they need to fight off disease. These puppies didn't get that so right now they have absolutely NO protection against disease. The slightest thing right now could also claim the life of the surviving puppy.
At two weeks of age, this puppy is going to need milk replacer for at least another four to six weeks. When he is about four weeks old, you can introduce him to human baby cereal. He will still be getting his puppy milk replacer every four hours at that age but he will need to start exploring solids as well. Any dry baby cereal will work. In addition to his milk replacer, mix some human baby cereal with evaporated milk and offer it to him. Most puppies LOVE this stuff so he should eat it quite readily. Feed him the baby cereal for about a week and then you can start incorporating actually puppy food into his diet because by this time his teeth should be in. Take a couple of cups of dry puppy food and put them into a container with extremely hot water. If you use four cups of food, add five to six cups of water and let it sit until the water is absorbed into the dry food. Then take a fork and mash it up until it becomes fluffy. You can then add some evaporated milk to this to make it taste even yummier to him and then start feeding him, about 1/4 cup at a time. If he eats what you put down, offer him a bit more. You don't want to give him too much, he'll be overwhelmed. In addition to his food and his milk replacer (which you can phase out completely by the time he is 6-8 weeks old), make sure he always has a bowl of fresh, clean water available at all times.
What breed or mix of breeds is he? How large will he be when full grown? This will determine how much food he will need each day.
Your vet will be able to give you some more valuable advice when you take the puppy in for his vaccinations. Please contact the vet's office as soon as you can to have that done so that you are sure he is protected against disease. If you can, please post some pics so that we can see him! We all love puppies!!

.Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your pup.
Well done on getting them him to two weeks its hard work. You need to keep him warm heat is importnat to a very young pup, feed him every 3 hours or so but i'm sure you already know this . If you have purchaced ***** Milk it should give you instructions about the amount to feed the puppy according to his size. I'm sure whatever your doing is good its not easy and its great his still going...
Sounds like your other puppy will be fine, good weight and size. Sometimes pups die because they have development issues but it does not mean the other pups are in any danger..
I have seen friends/family who breed dogs loss pups in a litter but the others grow to be strong dogs.
In a few weeks (won't be long now) he'll be eating by himself ..Puppies need lots of nutrients, carbs, fat & protein. You can purchace a commercial puppy food in a large range of stores. Puppy food is an easy way of getting all the nutrients that the pup needs in the correct proportions. The puppy food package will often tell you how much to feed him according to his size/weight.. Give the puppy water not milk.. Keep him warm and give him lots of love
If his not up to date with his vaccinations get him vaccinated ASAP..
I would always recommend that you neuter him at around 10 months.
Chew toys are a great idea for puppies, they enjoy them and it will save your furniture and shoes :)
Your pup will be ok.. Enjoy Him .
