my doberman got up one day and had a lump on his back  just below his neck.
It is the size of a small mellon.  It moves from side to side.  The vet injection a needle into it, but nothing comes out.  Going to see another vet monday.  Has not been arround other dogs.  no bites.  Help

It may only be something like an insect bite.  Was your dog recently vaccinated at the site of the lump?  If so, he might be having a bad reaction to the injection and should be seen at once by the vet.  There are lots of other things it "could" be, but your safest option is to have it evaluated by your vet.
