Oh good, at least you've found out what is wrong, which is great. Many times the longer a problem is left untreated the longer it lasts. Early treatment can definitely shorten healing time.

thanks for ur response ginger899...i took him to the vet & his neck is out..got him on anti-inflamatries, massage & heat packs...& then a dog chiropracter
There could be any problem from his neck to his claws. This could be a simple sprain, or it could be a cervical disc problem. Check his feet first to see if there is anything obvious, such as a thorn or something else stuck or embedded there, either on the pads, or between the pads. If there is, you may be able to remove it.
If nothing simple seems to be wrong there, that you can see, then the best way to go after that is to take him in to see the vet as soon as you can.
