My 7 month old siberian husky have vomiting today since in the morning, she dont have diarrea, only vomiting, her vomiting is white with mocus like flu, she dont want to eat but she drinking water, however, after the drinking water she vomiting again, i am super concern because she is very hyper dog and today she is looking so sad, i took her to the vet but the vet want to do some test on her and that cost a lot of money so i cannot afford. Few minutes ago she ate a little bit and drinking water and she dont vomiting at all so that can be a good signal? what should be the reason for her vomiting? what happened if she ate some items from her toy and that can be the reason? her poop is normal so if she ate some items from her toy she can poop normal? please give me some advise i am desesperate

Parvovirus doesn't usually present without being accompanied with almost continuous and violent diarrhea, hence my earlier comment, although other illnesses and infections the vaccinations protect against can cause vomiting as one of the early symptoms. Fingers crossed that the puppy has had all its shots. Tony

Hi there. That is really good news (a rare thing on this forum and a pleasure to read). I hope you and your baby enjoy many happy years together  ... and with Max too.

Just a quick reference note, no, your husky could not have got the cold or flu virus (influenza) from you as human flu virus is not the same as canine flu viruses and it is not transferable between the two species. There are however several very contagious cold-like viruses that are readily transferred between dogs, including kennel cough. When you can, just double-check with your vet that the vaccines given to your dog as a puppy included kennel cough. I say this because it is not always given as some countries/states have differing policies, resulting in different points of view and different approaches by vets. Tony

thank you very much Tony, i took her to the vet and the vet told me she probably have like a flu (i had a flu before so maybe she got from me), the vet prescribe antibiotic for her and i also gave her Nutricall, finally, the vomiting stop and she is doing fine, playful and happy dog. I appreciate very much you time to answer me, that was a nightmare for me when she was sick and i dont know what wrong with her, i love her very much, she is the joy in my house, I have 2 dogs Max who is a daschund and her, they are the joy in my life and when they are sick for anything i feel awful because i love them with al my heart. Thank you very much

Has your dog had it's shots? This sounds like the parvo virus many dogs get when they have not had there shots. if this si the case you still have time get him the shots ASAP!

Hi. That must be such a relief. One other thing, which as there was no diarrhea probably doesn't apply, I'm assuming your pup has had all its vaccinations. The only reason I ask is because some of the illnesses the vaccinations protect dogs against can cause vomiting together with other symptoms. Tony

I note it's now 10 hrs since your post ... is your dog still vomiting? If so, this is something you really need to see your vet about, sorry about the cost, but the good care of your pet is worth it in the end. Pups can chew on things they shouldn't and even small pieces can cause obstructions along the gut, which can be fatal. Please make sure your dog gets to a vet as soon as possible - and for the future, be extra cautious about things around your home that the dog can chew, including cheap dog toys, which are invariably unsuitable and potentially unsafe. My sib eats everything and therefore does vomit from time to time.  If she is vomiting all day that isn't good.  I'm not a vet but have had sibs for 20 years.  Be careful she does not become dehydrated.  I wouldn't wait long if she continues to vomit you need to run tests.  Pets are expensive and rely on their human owner for care.
