As other posters have said, parvo virus is extremely infectious and can be fatal both for your own dog and for other dogs. Please, please get him/her to a vet NOW. He/she will probably need blood transfusions and other absolutely urgent medical attention. Also, in addition to not taking your dog out where he/she might come into contact with other dogs, make sure you have picked up any faeces he/she might have left in your yard or garden area, as this can also infect other dogs if they come into contact with it. I wish you the very best of luck with your dog - please let us know how you get on at the vets. Tony
You have an EMERGENCY on your hands....Please get your dog to a Vet today......He/she has no one to help but you......Parvo is Fatal if left untreated...You MUST seek treatment, NOW! Good luck and I hope she makes it.....Let us know....Karla
The correct term is "parvo", which is short for Canine Parvo Virus. Your dog is VERY contagious, so please don't allow him around any other dogs. He needs to see a vet immediately or he will likely die. Please, please take him. http://www.canineparvovirus.net/
