puppy eats stone

My 11 week old doberman a woke this morning and ate, he then got sick 4 times and then all a sudden he seems like he has a kidney infection peeing and trying to pee. No problems yesterday... Then he pooped a stone... Do you think the stone could make him have a peeing problem? anyone have this happen to them?

Thank you for your advice....He ate a stone about the size of a thumb nail it was round. Dont think he ate more, he is still playing and having a good afternoon, but  still peeing and fulse peeing. Talked to the vet they thought it would be ok to wait till tomorrow... Still not sure on what to do.....

The only kind of stone that would make it difficult for him to pee would be a kidney stone.  A regular stone that he ate off the ground shouldn't interfere with urination, however it COULD cause a blockage in his stomach if it manages to get lodged somewhere.  It would be a good idea to take him to the vet to be evaluated because if he has more stones in his stomach they can cause a serious problem.  I have known dogs who have eaten stones who have needed surgery to remove them.  Please don't wait, this could get dangerous depending on what kind of stones, how big and how many of them he has in there.

Please keep us updated on his progress.
