POISON CONTROL CONTACTS

Questions come up often on this Forum about dogs ingesting various things and what to do.  I would like to list a couple of Internet Sites with information it may be a good idea to Bookmark and possibly print out some and keep handy.

http://www.pacc911.org/Poison_Control.html   (Poison Control Hotline)

http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/poison-control/  (ASPCA Poison Control and good information)

It's a good idea to read through this information before something happens.  There are things you should keep on hand at home, just in case.

Which reminds me, won't hurt me to read up on this stuff again and check my medical dog kit.

You also can create a health page with the info as an idea, too.

It's a post that is never moved at the top of the page with a pin symbol on it.
Anyway, thanks Margot for this.

I requested that this be made a "Sticky Post" but as only 2 Sticky Posts are allowed per forum, our Community Manager has now put the Poison Control contact details into the EMERGENCIES post at the top of the page.

Great info Margot! Thank you so much for thinking of this.
It's always good to have these numbers to hand should anything ever happen. It stops a lot of panic and to act quickly could mean the difference between life and death for a dog.
And -I always think it's best to have numbers and emergency numbers not just on the computer -but written down and pinned somewhere in the house....and also on speed dial on the phone.
