As some of you may know from my previous post, my 14 year old boxer mix had a Dexamethasone (sorry about spelling) supression test. I got a call with the results today and the vet said that they were not as good as he had hoped but they weren't bad. He said her cortisol decreased during the test but not as much as he had hoped. He said we will need to test her cortisol level again and possible repeat the Dexamethsone supression test in 6 months. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on this. I know that there are other reasons for an elevated cortisol level and I don't want to miss anything. My dog seems very healthy and happy. She eats normal, has normal potty habits and plays alot. We found the elevated cortisol level while preparing to remove a skin tag. Any advice will be greatly appriciated.
Thanks,
Turtle
