11 month old Shih Tzu peeing on the bed

I have a female Shih Tzu that will be a year next month who is trained on wee wee pads and also goes outside.  This method was working just fine and she hadn't had an accident since she was much younger and first learning.  Now all of a sudden while my husband and I are at work she is peeing on our bed.  She did it 4 days in a row.  I've cleaned up the mess very well and changed the bedding so there shouldn't be any lingering smell.  I walked her outside right before I left and she did all her business but she is still having the accidents.  I put her in her crate this morning so we wouldn't have this problem again today but I was wondering if anyone had a solution or do I have to start training her all over again.

Thanks.

Yes the first thing to do is have her checked for any medical issue.

If that is ruled out & everything is fine medically, since you said that you and your hubby are at work during the day and this is when it happens, and not other times like late at night when she is also in the house for a long time before going out it sounds like it could be behavioral. She might be letting you know she is not happy that you are gone. And using your bed, that is classic for a pissed off ( no pun intended, LOL ) little doggie. She is going on something special of YOURS. Where you will be sure to see it. Some will chew up their owners shoes, or go peeps in those too, lol....She could just be very bored. Nothing to do all day, waiting for her people.
So it's not a matter of re-teaching her house training 101, she KNOWS what she is doing, trying to get your attention, telling you something.
I have not had this problem with any of mine, but I've always had more than one at a time.
We did have a kitty who did this when I was much younger. maybe some who have gone thru this  will come along w/ suggestions to keep her busy during the day while you are at work. You could also try and look some stuff up online for suggestions about canine boredom and behavioral motivated urination.

Take care and let us know how she's doing ;)

Sounds like a territorial dog, any competition hanging around?
Tip: Buy a new plastic shower curtain, put across bed, put 1 fitted sheet over to keep curtain in place, and put 2nd fitted sheet on for you to sleep on....
Also, check her into vet, she could have UTI infection and that is one of the symptoms, uncontrolled urination...something not right....its probably a medical condition...
When my girl does that in bed, I layer the shower curtain and sheets, its ruff changing the bed..and my girl has a UTI and we start the process of vet, etc...
Welcome to the dog forum, there are very informative people here, so check in and see if others have given more suggestions...
