So sorry for the loss of your friend. I, as well as many others here, know all too well the heartbreak.  We wish they would live forever.

Only time will lessen the pain, but it never removes it completely. Just know that you gave her love and kindness during her long life, one that she may not have had if not for you.

Oh, I sm so very sorry to read this.  Your dog was definitely up there in years, attesting to the good care she received.  I can't see any reason the foid would have caused this.  My daughter has a little dog with chronic pancreas problems and she was switched from the prescription food to the Royal Canin and does very well.
It seems as though it was just time for her little body to need to rest.
Again, so sorry.

I don't know....but don't think a dietary change like this could bring on a massive heart attack. Even if extra sodium caused a little water-retention, or she was drinking more....I can't see that causing a heart attack.
I very much doubt if the change of food was the cause of her death.

I am so sorry your girl passed away. It seems maybe her time had come. Maybe there is nothing you or the vet could have done to stop that happening. Sometimes a heart attack comes out of the blue with little warning.

My heart goes out to you and I am sorry for the loss of your dear girl. We love them so much and it is hard when they have to leave this world. Bless her Soul.
