19 week sonogram

I am now 19 weeks pregnant and have confirmed that my baby boy has downs.I recently went to my specialist and had a sonogram. The baby was measuring at 17 weeks of the head, legs, and arms. Also there was brightening brightening the bowels. Is this normal for a downs baby or has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Sometimes babies with Down Syndrome have problems in the digestive tract. You could see a genetic specialist. A children's hospital or university affiliated hospital may have a genetic department. There's plenty of info on the internet. A good website is the National Down Syndrome Association.  Best wishes to you and your baby.
