Need a Doctor

My daughter has been diagnosed with POTS and it is accompanied by an 8-month migraine. She is now having multiple weekly blackout episodes. We need desperately to find a physician who can help her regain her quality of life. We are not  far from  Peoria, IL, Chicago,IL and Iowa City, IA.

Please help!

Also, did they check her for Addison's disease?

I'm sorry you guys are going through this!  Did they also make sure your daughter was not iron deficient, which can make things even worse (rapid heart rate, headache, etc.)?  Did they also do a brain MRI?

There is listed on sites listed on link above, a Dr. Janice Gilden in North Chicago.  I hope she might be able to see your daughter!

I am in St Louis and my son has POTS.  We see Dr Laurence Kinsella at St Clare Hospital.  He is a neurologist who is well versed in autonomic dysfunction.  He used to work in Cleveland with some very good autonomic specialists.

I'm not sure how long the drive is from Peoria to St Louis, but I thought I would mention it.
