POTS and hypertension

I get weird brief episodes of blood pressure extremes like 157/134, or 190/110, but can also have low/normal BP. My heart rate varies hugely.

Since I rarely have hypotension on standing, doctors have been reluctant to pursue testing or POTs, but there are hypertensive varieties, correct?

Dear TaraLynn, No, I don't have CHF. I have been tested for arrhythmias, with suspicion of SVT or atrial tachycardia, but it seems to be sinus tachycardia.

Do you have a diagnosis of CHF? This is NOT meant to imply that you do, but it helps to better understand your situation regarding hemodynamic stability.
