Salt pills

My doctor wants me to ingest 10 grams of salt a day and I need to lose weight so its been hard (or id just drink Gator-aid and eat pickles all day) so he said I can take sodium pills.
I took one last night because I have been feeling really bad and woke up feeling really bad times 10. The pharmacist said these pills can make your feel like this.....does anyone have any hints?
More importantly how can I make this "hung over" feeling so away so I can get to my lil brothers dinner?

For those who have trouble tolerating salt tablets, we do have a list of high sodium foods, and in its currently (perpetually) work-in-progress state (pardon our dust), you'll be pleased to find that the part that has gotten the most attention so far is low-calorie and calorie-free high-sodium foods/beverages/condiments.

Powerade Zero, incidentally, would give you your Gatoraid fix with zero calories.  (Gatoraid makes a 50% reduced calorie product, but no zero-cal beverage under their brand.)  Also, a 4" dill pickle has roughly 1200 mg of sodium and only 16 calories, which is an excellent trade-off for those watching the waistline, so no need to abandon those pickles!!

Ohhh thats an idea I love Ramon noodles, if the noodles were not so fattening I'd eat them daily.
I eat most anything and I cook with salt....I just hate the taste of it added, finicky I am. ;->

I also must not be reading the jars right I swear that the pickles I have were only a couple hundreds mgs.
I also know they are low fat and I LOVE them just can't live on them.
I also prefer Powerade, I did not know they had a zero calorie.
I have not been in a grocery store since 09/09.

Thank You! I started such a cycle, throwing up (sorry if that is TMI)  from the salt pill, then getting worse from throwing up and losing the fluid.

Viva le pickles!

My son takes Thermatabs without any problems.  But I make sure he doesn't take it on an empty stomach.
