Hi all, hoping to finally find more conclusive answers to this very long and limiting situation. Since my early 20s (I'm 45 now) I noticed it was easier for me to catch colds. I eat well (as much home cooked food as possible, fried stuff every once in a long while, etc), don't smoke, drink socially only, exercise almost daily for around 20 minutes per day. Have maintained this habits since then, however it's still the same: cold makes my throat itchy within seconds, and swollen if I don't cover it right away. My nose is sensitive too. I suspect this is due to having lived previously in a very industrial area for 15 years, where I developed allergies against certain types of dust, which caused excessive morning runny nose for all those years, and which doctors apparently couldn't cure. After having moved from that area I've been allergy free (mostly) for over 10 years now, however the sensitivity in nose and throat remains. Seconds of exposure to cold can make my throat tingle and then become swollen. I'll greatly appreciate if someone has had similar experiences themselves or as doctors and could please share them here. Thank you in advance,
Andrew
