Allergy/Eczema in Ears leaking clear fluid

I've had eczema in my ears for 15 yrs. It is very cyclical, starting w/intense uncontrollable itching, then clear fluid leaking from skin, followed by crusting over & flaking of skin in ears that is itchy in & of itself, leading to more scratching & picking at ears. The skin in my ears gets very damaged and ratty during outbreaks. I also have swelling of the ear canal after these itch/scratch episodes that are sometimes quite painful, & Motrin helps that.  ENT Dr. prescribed steriod cream. Yes, it clears it up & I follow through w/recommended application after rash dissappears, but as SOON as I stop applying cream, rash returns just as intense. I don't use steriod creams anymore because it's not a CURE & I'm not crazy about putting steriods in my head everyday. I know eczema is really an allergy & will never disappear until allergen is removed. My next step is to see an allergist to find out what could be triggering this.  I read that a nickel allergy can create eczema around ears from wearking earrings (most are made of nickel).  But I'm more concerned now because I'm noticing more leaking of the clear fluid.  Does anyone else experience this clear fluid leaking?  What is it?  Lymph fluid trying to heal the area? CSF leaking, in my case maybe from trauma to the ear canal from the severe scratching episodes I go through?

I'll talk to anybody at this point.  I'm am about to go insane! I'm uninsured, and I don't know what to do about this disgusting, leaky ear of mine.  Now mind you, I sleep on my left side--tis the only way I can fall asleep.  I'm also always "bud-upped," meaning listening to Pandora, Muve, whatever. I think it's because enough air is not getting into my ear canal because I don't move in my sleep, no seriously, I sleep in the same position ALL NIGHT-unless Mother nature calls. My husband says, "get those earbuds out!"  My argument back is "dude, I have TWO ears, why is only one of them driving me to homicide?" JK, don't report me, please. But it is making me act like a 4 year old. I've tried, Cipro, Q-tips, H2O2, ear drops that are actually eye drops with gramicidinal components.... Help me

I also just checked the bottles of "Boost" nutritional drink (it's like "Ensure") that I started drinking several times a week a number of months ago. One of its main ingredients is high-oleic sunflower oil. So no more of that stuff, either. The leaky, gooey, crusty gunk in my ears sounds very much like what many others here have described. I do believe that it's a yeast infection (not Candida, but Malassezia), and should be treated as such.

You must get this through Dr. prescription only
fluticasone propionate cream is by prescription only.
Ask for it .  It really is relieving but there seems to
be no permanent cure right now.

TRY from a Dr. prescription:
The name is fluticasone propionate cream.
Use very little but cover all itchy areas.

The ingredient in the Control cream that helps this condition in Balsam Peru Oil. So while Mario Badescu is working on the formula, we might try blending a drop of oil into some shea butter and create a substitute.
