Any one know Keflex?
I have strip throat and both ears hurt. Dr gave me 3 x 500 mg a day for 10 days. With IBS, could this be a problem?

Some of us just tolerate anti biotics and i know getting an attack of the runs is quite common,but if youve had it for days you call the doc,maybe the doseage is too strong.
I don't know about this...BUT it may be a good time to try out the new Ask A Pharmacist Forum/Community. They tend (no disrespect to doctors at all) know more about the actual drugs and side effects.

Can you call him and ask for another antibiotic? I don't know other antibiotics that wouldn't hurt your stomach.
Not happy with my doctor. When I went in for my 6 week check up for the TT I had the strep throat & ear infection. It was a write me off appointment. He didn't even bring in my chart. Looked in my throat and ears and wrote the scriipt.
