Bony like cartlige in right ear that’s not in left?

When I put my fingers in my ears to itch them, the inside of my right ear feels different than my left. When I run the back of my finger nails across the inside of my ears (as if a q-tip would if they were cleaning them) I can feel a bony piece almost like a small grain of rice or a small circular piece that I go over in my right ear but not my left. Is this normal?
