Bump on membrane that hides tonsil

I saw my doctor yesterday for a sinus infection and a few bumps on the back of my throat. He explained lymphoid bumps. He gave me a Z-pak and Flonase pluse said to use Claritin.

What concerns me is that one of the sub-epithelial lymphoid bumps (?) is on the mucousal piece that runs in front of my tonsils and I can feel it like something is stuck there touching my tongue. It is also a bit red there.  I did show it to the doctor and he said it was nothing to worry about.  Since I can feel it,  I can't stop thinking about it.  I can see it with a flashlight and there is one about 1/4th inch above it on the same piece of membrane.  I just saw my dentist for a regular check up and she checked my tongue, etc. just days before I got sick.  Is this in a normal place for a  sub-epithelial lymphoid tissue bump? The sensation of feeling the bump goes away if my mouth is moist after just drinking something.  He explained about lymphoid bumps but didn't say the one I'm concerned about is one of those. He actually said there might be some bleeding under the skin there from constant throat clearing or irritation.  The tonsil is not visable so not enlarged.  I looked at mouth diagrams to try and better explain where this is located but that area is not labeled except as part of the soft palate.  This is just to the side of my tongue and stretches when you say 'ahhh'.

I understand about sinus drainage, mouth breathing during sleep, dry mouth, oral hygiene (just saw dentist and all good reports). Doctor talked to me about possible irritants, nasal saline spray and avoidance of allergens (leaf mold and rag week are VERY high right now).

Hi, in any throat infections or inflammations, there could be changes in the throat referred to as ‘cobblestone appearance’ in the throat. This will subside once the causing factor is dealt with. So, please dont worry and ensure to take your medications regularly and do salt water gargles. Regards.

One other question, one of the 'bumps' is on the palatoglossal arch just above the tongue.  Is this of concern in that area?

Thank you so much!  I have completed the Zpak and will try to remember to gargle several times a day.

Bless you for taking the time to answer my concern!
