Constant pain in ears....getting worried please help

I have a pain in both my ears for almost a year now. It in the area around the ears as well going towards the jaw. I am really worried now that the pain is now going away ever. I have been on antibiotic anti inflammatories syringed and none have worked.Along with the pain they also feel blocked. I am pretty sure that is comes from listening to my headphones to loud ( which I have course stopped). My GP says it should go away but its always there. I am going privately to an ENT in 2 months .

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? and will the pain ever go away?

No I don't live in the USA. I should be seen within 6 weeks.

I take pain killers all the time and have tried penicillin and Anti-inflammatories prescribed by my GP and nothing has worked thus far. I have had my ears syringed and had drops for wax which haven't worked either.

The pain is becoming unbearable

"... privately to an ENT..in a couple of months..."  sounds like you are not in the USA, right?

This has nothing to do with help, guess I ask because when I, in the USA, go to the doctor it is always  "privately" and "in a couple of days" would be more the type of delay.  But with the medical train wreck going on here now it may be true here too.

Did you doctor suggest any pain relief?  A strong does of ibuprofen comes to mind, how about ear wax?  I use hydrogen peroxide straight out of the bottle to soak my ear wax out.

Clearly you need to see a ENT, hope that will help - but pain needs some help right now in my "book".

Good luck
