Jaw & ear ache starting in the afternoons only.

For the past 8 days I have had a left side ear ache which continues along my jaw & also a pain at the back of my head on the left hand side. The weird thing is this only starts in the afternoons anywhere from 2pm. I have been to 2 Drs now who both said my ear canal looks clear. I have no pain inside my mouth or with any of my teeth. I have just been put on stronger antibiotics but they don't seem to be doing anything either. Sometimes painkillers work, but mostly don't. A friend today said my left eye looked smaller than the right. When the pain is there it's constant at about 8/10 for up to 15mins then will subside for awhile.
Has anyone else experienced this or can give any suggestions what/where to go next. Thank you

Sorry I copied & pasted it from another question similar to mine. Thought I’d give an update to mine but should have removed a couple of lines. :-)

Update:
3 Drs & a hospital visit couldn’t find a problem.  A 2nd stronger round of antibiotics did help eventually.
Do you have any little sores that have come up on the same side?
A ENT specialist diagnosed mine as shingles, unfortunately it was too late to have the necessary needle for it.
I Still get occasional pain there now. That can last 4-6 months after the occurrence called post neuralgia.......

Yes, post herpetic neurology happens.  That's unfortunate that is the case for you.  Does the doctor have any suggestions?

I'm glad you came back and updated this though.  I'd not have guessed shingles!  You are answering your own question here it looks like though.  I'm confused by that.
