Ear-ache to pain under ear now in neck

I am sick every June and July here in Texas. I don't know what the heck it is but something every year about kills me. I get to whereas I can't breathe and the Dr's shoot me up w/ "mega-steroids" as they put it. Hence: I loathe Steroids...I gain 10 lbs. every summer for 7 years...Yes a whopping 70 lbs.

Nevertheless...I have now been on four round of Antibiotics for a month plus the ROIDS...I had water on my ears Per: Internalist Physician...NOW, I have a horrible pain and swelling vertically across my neck under the ear that hurt the worst. Is this normal? I have been dizzy for a month and seems like I am not hearing 100% out of my right ear.

Sounds like seasonal allergies are causing all of this.  Have you ever been assessed by an allergist?  In your case I would recommend consulting an ENT Specialist who deals with allergies as well.  Perhaps, if the allergies are stabilized there will be no need for all the steroids.

Hi,

I feel you are probably having asthmatic attacks during the months of June and July. Steroids are the best choice for this condition. Regarding your neck pain and the swelling, you need to consult an ENT specialist as thorough examination is warranted.

For dizziness and reduced hearing I would suggest you get an audiogram and tympanometry done soon, to find out the cause.
