Ear anatomy question

Hi all... wondering if anyone could offer any insight into this.

I had an accident 6 months ago where a chemical liquid got into my ear. It has caused some long term problems in the ear but I am hopeful of improvement.

Chemical was cleaned out of the ear canal. However, recently I feel paranoid that some residue could be in the middle ear area or inner ear area. Is this possible? Or would anything in that area simply drain out?

I had a feeling of fullness/fluid in the middle ear a few months ago but this is gone now.

I will ask my ENT but as always there is long wait between appointments unfortunately.
