Ear blocked days after flying with sinus infection

Hello. I’m new here so hopefully I’m using this right...

Last Wednesday I flew for the first time. I had a sinus infection and thought nothing of it. I get sinus infections often because I have a deviated septum. WELL, once I got off the plane it took hours for my ears to feel somewhat normal but even then they still had a slight fullness in them. It’s now Sunday and after driving up some mountains my left ear is completely blocked. I had no idea you aren’t supposed to fly with a sinus infection. The infection is pretty much cleared up but my ear is making me miserable. It’s 100% clogged and giving me horrible vertigo. I’ve always had slight problems with my left ear because I get little air in my left nostril, but nothing like this. I have no idea what to do. I can’t see a doctor until I get home Wednesday. Is there ANYTHING I can do? Would a decongestant help? Thank you.

The best thing for you to do is to see a ENT wherever you are staying, but don't get ear tubes! do all you can do first to clear that ear,I also had a infection and after that cleared I was left with fluid behind the ear drums,I never had a balance problems though, but got the tubes, was a big mistake for me,it did leave me with some hearing lost and will have them removed in Aug,that will be one year for me.
