Having throat problems for two years

I have had a thick, clear gel like mucus in my throat now for nearly two years. I have seen doctor after doctor and nobody can figure it out. I have had several larynoscopy's and was told I have GERD. I began the medicine for that and took it faithfully for 6 months as I was told it takes awhile to work, well it never did work. Then I had several chest ex-rays, along with chest ct-scan, sinus ct scan and throat ct scan and they found no reason for this issue. I had a barrium swallow as well. I have done sinus rinses, taken mucinex along w/ tons of water, also tried inhaling steams. I have been given steroids and antibiotics too. Nothing I do helps. If I drink a soda it seems the carbonation in it brings this thick sticky substance up into my mouth and I have to spit it out, Mexican food will do this too. I also have been coughing up mucus plugs on top of it.......I basically feel fine, but this is a horrible way to live. I try to avoid people as much as possible nowdays, but I do have to work and keep a roof over my head. I've spent a ton of money on this and have now been told that "they have tried everything they can think of and have no other explanation of what is wrong" I don't know if this is connected or not, but one day I woke up and could not move my neck at all. Well throughout the day it did loosen up but ever since I have had a horrible pain in my neck (lol) that will not go away. I have tried acupuncture on this, message thearapy and exercises and nothing works...all my issues are in my neck/throat
Would you have any idea what this could be?? Oh, and I don't cough a lot, but when I do it's vey unproductive, dry cough.

Thanks for a response. I actually thought I was posting this questiong to medical support?? And yes, I have gone to several ENT doctor's that have been horrible. See, I went to a different ENT than the first one as I thought as you, "a fresh set of eyes" might be a good idea, and the doctor was mad at me for doing that. Isn't that strange?? I mean she felt that I should of just listened to the first one and not bother the rest of the ENT's I guess. All she said to me was "do you think I'm the smartest doctor in the world? Other's have looked and you come to me, thinking I'm the smartest one"' well needless to say I really didn't stay long after that, as it just got worse.
ANyway, thanks.

Haven't a clue. I'm sorry.

BUT, you shouldn't give up. Try researching it and try new doctors. Save up for a road trip or two. Sometimes it takes a fresh set of eyes to put the pieces together. Have you tried an ENT?
