Head Rushes/Dizziness

I have had head rushes for about 6 or more years now.
My symptoms are:
tingling in the head
numbness sensation in the left arm
sounds like there is a leaf in my hair
ringing in the ears
nausea
diarrhea
can't sleep
I get sleepy when I have a head rush
tremors
speech problems
cloudness

I feel like a sudden rush when doing anything normal. If I move my head from left to right I get a sudden feeling of a rush. Like the wind was about to knock me down. I know when I am going to have these spells sometimes. Sometimes they come out of no where. The symptoms usually give me a clue when it is going to happen, sometime not. I have had an an MRI and had one white spot on the brain. He wasn't sure because it was in a area that is above my right ear. Said something like it was in a gray area. I have been on mechlizine which makes me sleep alot. I have been on the patch for sea sick people. That I can not take because I break up do to the sticky stuff on the back of the patch. I have had an slight underactive thyroid. But the doctor says I don't have that any more. I am so sick of going to the doctor and them telling me they don't know what is wrong with me. I have these symptoms everyday and they last almost all day. I can not work do to these problems. If I am working and move to fast. I feel like I am going to fall over and pass out. I feel lost when going to the doctor. I had blood test, hearing test, MRI, balance test. I am just lost and afraid to go back to get the same answer all the time. What should and what could I have? Thank You Sabrina

I'm 65 and diagnosted 2 yrs ago with alzheimers.  The neuro-dudes, as I fondly refer to them, can't tell me why I'm still articulate, why I understand everything going on around me and why I know when my head isn't fuctioning correctly.  Every sympton I have that aligns with Alzheimers or vascular dementia is attributed to head rushes.

My head rushes linger for days or weeks sometimes.

I'm depressed because of the head rushes.
I'm weak because of the head rushes.
I'm unstable because of the head rushes.
I don't eat right because of the head rushes.
I have anger issues because of the head rushes.

The first one was in 1992, then again in '96, then '98.  In 2003 they progressed to the point I became disabled.

I continue trying to find a doctor that won't diagnose me as just another blanket case of alzheimers.  When the head ruses are gone, I publish a newspaper.  When the head ruses are gone, I deal in Real Estate.  When I make mistakes, I'm aware of them and take corrective actions.

I need to know if head rushes can be treated or stopped?

How "nice" to read so many others with similar symptoms. I too have had dizzy spells for about 5-6 years now. THey come and go. I may have them for a month and then not again for a year. After searching the postings with dizziness in the subject line I found many others. My general prac sent me to an ENT, they did several tests and I also got an MRI. This was about 1 1/2 years ago. Of course by the time my appointments came around the symptoms were gone. Generally, my symptoms are dizziness/veritigo when I turn my head or any sudden movements. I get motion sickness very easily and always have, so this just makes it worse. After all my tests all they found was a slighty inflamed sinus. Now I am in allergy season and feeling the dizziness full on. I can't recall having bad allergies before when I'd have these spells. And I never thought about sinus problems before until all the tests. It starts to make sense though. Fluid being in the ears. Headaches. Sometimes it feels like someone has there hands over my ears. Good luck to you. I'm going to make an appt with my doc tomorrow and see what happens. Do bad allergies turn into sinus infections? A friend of mine said singular and advair have changed his life, allergy related of course.
