Hearing crumbling noise in left ear

I'm 30 yrs old and for the past 5 months I have heard a crumbling noise in my left year that has been getting worse recently. If I lightly strike the front of my ear, pull on left ear, gently touch back of left ear, or press on it in any way I hear that crumbling noise for a few seconds then it goes away. It's worse at night when I'm laying down. My doctor said my left ear drum was not moving when he uses the air with the otoscope, I have been prescribed antibiotics , prednisone, flonase, decongents, all failed. he was suspecting eustashian tube dysfunction , but gave me an antibiotic just in case which I finished with no relief. I rarely have minimal pressure / pain intermittently to my left ear. I did have a whiplash injury a about 6 months ago, and work on a computer all day so I frequently get neck pain, went for a massage yesterday and have been to chiropractor with relief of neck pains, but nothing else. I have also taken muscle relaxant hoping it was coming from my neck l, with no relief. I have no dizziness. Anyone any idea?? Please help this is so frustrating ...
