How do I get rid of this infection?

I have had a sinus and ear infection for a month and a half now.  It's extremely frustrating and can be very painful at times.  My doctor had put me on a regimen of Zythromax and now I'm on Levaquin.  He has also prescribed Prednisolone for a six day time span to help open things up.  I have had problems with my ears and sinus's since I was very little.  I currently get allergy injections, take Rhinoquart Aqua and Claritin for my allergies.  We were very hopeful that these steps would help keep this problem form happening again and again.  In the meantime, my head hurts really bad, I keep feeling dizzy and lightheaded and I am not fond of the way the Prednisolone makes me feel.  Oh, yeah, he also had me cut way back on my salt intake for the duration of the steroid.  I'm also a diabetic and have been trying to keep that in check as well.  Is there anything else that I can do to relieve the pain and discomfort?

I have angorphia, really don't like going out at all. But I also have suffered fron ear, nose and throat problems most all of my life. To this date I've been infected over a month. Using warm strong salt water helps but not for long. What else can I do at home? Thanks.

I feel you are on right track of treatment, the delay may be due to diabetes.
Prednisolone may give you some 'hyperacidity'; what else you are having with such short courses? One can't give long courses with DM around.

For the pain, you can take Paracetamol. Ibuprofen is better, but better avoided in the same stomach with Prednisolone.

Take steam inhalation also.
