I am having Septoplasty with turbinate reduction and endoscopic concha bullosa surgery in 3 weeks!!!

I am having a septoplasty with turbinate reduction and endoscopic concha bullosa surgery in 3 weeks.  I have a very low tolerance to pain and I am a little worried.  Has anybody had this surgery and can you tell me how much pain to expect.  I will be staying in the hospital one night, so I am sure they will give me pain meds through my iv while in the hospital.  I'm just worried about when I go home.????

Thanks annatom....  I developed servere allergies 2 years ago.  Since then, I have been living with terrible headaches and complete exhaustion.  I have developed chronic sinusitis and mild sleep apnea.  I have tried medications, I have even done a few rounds of prednisone with no reults.  What I am hoping to get out of this surgery is my life back.  I am so exhausted all the time, and I just always feel awful.  Thanks for your well wishes and I hope you have a speedy recovery...

Hi Allison......I am 2 weeks post op for this surgery plus ethmoidectomy.  I can tell you it is not a walk in the park.  I have had 4 or 5 other surgeries in my life and this byfar has been the worst post op recovering from.  I am breathing a little clearer now, but not great.  The worst thing has been the congestion.....the pain isn't too terribly bad...which is good because I couldn't take pain meds because they made me sleepy but I could not sleep due to not being able to breathe.  It has been a vicious cycle.  People who had this done said it will all be worth it.  I hope they are right!  I wish you the best of luck....keep us posted.  What is your sinus background?
