Inflamed back of ear

Hi people
I am slightly concerned now as every once in a while I get this pain on my right ear lobe and when I look at it it has this spot like thing thats inflamed and then after day or two it bursts. I have a picture of it below Is this a cyst or something? Should I seek medical help? Its always on the same ear, never on the other ear.

Warning picture is not nice.

My brother use to get this big cysts behind and infront of his ears. If they did not burst on their own he had to get them lanced. They would give him antibiotics for them.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Sorry am unable to see the picture. The symptoms described by you could be due a skin disorder called eczema. People who suffer from this disorder should avoid contact with triggering factors like soaps, cosmetics, jewelry, clothing, and detergents. Sometimes sweat, changes in temperature and psychological stress are known to trigger these episodes. So, the best way to prevent attacks is to identify those substances which you are allergic to and avoid them. Consult your  primary care physician for therapy. If the need arises he may refer you to a dermatologist.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Hi
Nope I have not got my ears pierced.
It does not happen all the time just randomly but has been happening for past 1 year.

I'm not sure what this could be, but if it keeps happening, try to get it looked at. You don't want it getting infected and causing any problems. Is there near an ear piercing? It looks like an infected pierced hole to me. If that's the case, have you been wearing any fake jewelry or anything? That may cause a problem.
