Is it my sinus or something else?

Yesterday my nose started hurting like I was punched and I'm not sure why. It feels slightly better when I put pressure on it. The pain is on the bridge of my nose and not my cheeks like I would expect from sinus pain. I don't have any nasal congestion just a slight drain down my throat. I do have a mild allergies and live in Nevada where it's really dry. I have a very small red spot (a little smaller than a pencil eraser) on the top of my nose where the crease is. The skin is slightly scaly there and a little sensitive to touch so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Wondering if it's cellulitis or sinus issues. I have an appointment with my dr on Wednesday morning. Thoughts?
