My eyes are crazy itchy - they are red in the inside corners and a bit swollen. I have a red itchy rash over various parts of my body and now it's moved onto my face (not pretty). The rash patches are almost always circular and of varying sizes. They never completely disappear but they are not always red and itchy - some are good one day - paler - and the next they are back to red and incredibly itchy.
I know for sure that this is not psoriasis or eczema. I do have a blood disorder called MGUS (Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance) and I wonder if they are somehow related.
I have tried all sorts of prescription creams, lotions and ointments. I wear glasses and they are constantly smearing with all the gunk.
I am now taking 24-hour antihistamines every four hours because they don't last anymore! My doctor says this is a chronic condition, that I've tried the best of everything, and "just live with it."
I have seen an allergist - not that; a dermatologist - manage it, but you see from the above that it's not being managed; blood specialist - not that; ophthamologist - not that either.
I have tried tea bags or cucumbers on my eyes, or cold wet washcloth. I've taken chamomile or oatmeal baths. I think I've tried pretty much everything but to no relief.
I need help! Please, does anyone have anything to offer?
