Meneres

I was diagnosised with Meneres Disease several years ago. I have stayed very high functioning since being diagnosised. I only have it in one ear. I also have severe allergies and this keeps my ears full of fluid pretty much at all times. I do take a diuretic and watch my salt intake. My problem is, if I start getting sleepy it seems to worsen the vertigo. What really gives me a hard time is that most of the medications I take for my allergies, makes you sleepy, but I have to take them to breathe plus they are supposed to keep you dried out which is good for a meneres patient. Is there anything that can help with the vertigo when I get tired? I have tried some medications but with no luck.

Morning, I have been diagnosed with meneres twice in my life. I have had it for about 23 years, (not happy), I also suffer from tinnitus and more so when I am tired and this is often as I have a crap job, and work crap hours. No medication the dr's have offered helped and there has been many.
I use daily "anti-hist-ermines"  I am using TELFAST  right now, daily sometimes twice in a day although am not ment to take more than one in 24 hours. Any brand of anti-hist-ermines works. What ever is on special as they are not cheep. I carry tabs with me 24 hours a day so yes I suffer heaps. The tinnitus, I use tapping. How to tap.= PLACE left hand on top of head, tap area around ear opening many times, (23) is my Favorited number with right hand2 fingers, then cover ear with right hand and tap top of head. (Sound nutty I know) BUT do this about 5 times. WHAT happens is YOU tap sore or annoying area, cover it then tap head (brain) saying to the brain... hey fix this... give it a try and let me know how you go.

Have you ever taken allergy drops? They claim it builds up your immune system so you do not have allergies after so many years?
