Nose picking/bump in nose

Sometime around last October, I developed an obsessive nose picking habit. It was so bad that it resulted in a nasal polyp that I had to have surgically removed. Even after the surgery, I couldn't stop picking my nose and I'm still doing it. My nose has mostly healed, but I still get a lot of crustiness which drives me crazy and makes me pick more. Now I have another bump toward the front of my nose. I am mortified of this habit and I don't want to see a doctor because I'm so embarrassed. I have read a lot on google and most of it says it's probably harmless but it could also be very dangerous and potentially cause brain infection. It isn't extremely painful, just a little bit tender I think just from me touching on it. It's also small. I can still breathe out of my nose and its very hard to see. So I guess I have two questions- 1. Is this serious enough that I should suck it up to go see a doctor? 2. HOW DO I STOP PICKING MY NOSE? I have tried everything but it's like I'm not in control. I have also been a terrible nail biter for my entire life. I've quit for a couple weeks at a time but I always pick it up again. I don't know what to do because I know I can't have this nose picking habit the rest of my life. I'm scared of it making me really sick. Please help!
