Pain and Numbness in Ear and Jaw Joint

What is the cause for  sudden pain and numbness in the ear and jaw joint? I am a 22 year old female and I have been experiencing these symptoms since yesterday. I was fine until the evening when I touched my right ear (towards the inside) and minced in pain. Since then I have noticed pain, pressure and partial numbness what feels like the inside of my ear, towards the middle, and about an inch around it surrounding the top of my jaw joint. I have difficulty opening my mouth too much. It hurts to move my jaw, to laugh, to chew, to talk, to smile and definitely to touch the area surrounding my inner ear and to lay down on that side. It seems like any pressure on or around is painful as well. To pull or push the skin on my cheek or on the side of my jaw is too painful. I have been hoping that it would just go away as the time goes on but the pain just gets worse as I'm sitting here typing. I don't have to be doing anything to feel the pain. It's a dull, achy feeling and I feel pressure in that area and partial numbness. Just like after a trip from the dentist, the feeling you have when the numbness begins to fade and the pain takes affect. I just started taking Detrol LA again last Friday and could not find any related side effect except for joint pain. I have been searching online everywhere for answers.
I will not be able to see a doctor for another four days (if I can be seen on Black Friday).
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing all of this trouble?
Should I be worried?
Thank you very much.

Thank you for your comment. I was wondering about whether it could be TMJ after reading about it online. But I am not sure what happens through the night, whether I clench or grind my teeth in my sleep or not. How would I know?

Is it possible that you might have TMJ and grind or clench your teeth at night? That can cause pain in your jaw/ear.
