Post Nasal Drip

I went to the doctor as i had been feeling mucus at the back of my throat and a sore throat in the morning. He said my nose is swollen and they also did a throat swab which detected no bacterial infection. I am wondering if my post nasal drip is caused by just inflammation of the nose due to any other reasons. The only one i have been able to come up with is picking my nose too roughly? Also its been 8 days since the problem first started or the symptom appeared. I dont have a stuffy nose in the day no itchy eyes, and the drainage is not very bad. Im wondering how long before this will clear up. Please and Thank you for your help.

Oh, good tip.  Have you had that?  Can you tell me about it?
