Red swollen nostril

So the other day I noticed that my right nostril hurt really bad and felt swollen, warm, and tender. When I looked in the mirror i found that my nostril was super red and was noticeably swollen bigger than my left nostril. I felt the inside and outside of my nostril and couldn't find any new or unusual bumps so I let it be, hoping it would get better. In the time I waited I took ibuprofen to help with the inflammation and pain, because even just flexing my nostril or lightly brushing my finger against it hurt like hell, but the swelling or pain hasn't gone down even a little. It's doesn't have a head on it, so I don't believe it's acne, but I could be wrong. There's no bruising and I don't recall ever being hit in the nose anytime recently. I'm still watching it to see if anything changes but it's been about 3-5 days since I first noticed it.
Any feedback would be a lot of help.
