Right Ear Problems

The past three months I have had a constant problems with my right ear, and it has not got better. I am trying to find whether this is an inner ear problem, sinus problem, eustation tube problem, TMJ or something I have not considered.
I have listed all my symptoms I have had and I hope someone can help, or point me the right way. THANKS

Ringing sound in the right ear (24-7), it sounds low most of the time, but if I push lightly on my right ear lobe I can hear the ringing much louder, like it is screaming. Fullness, pressure in the ear and around it. Ear is sensitive, sometimes if i push around it can be painful, feel very tender. I will sometimes get a liquid feeling in one ear or both ears. Hearing sounds like a TV or music on mid-high volume for a time will cause pain in right ear, it can also cause a sensation of liquid in the ear, and I will sometimes hear and feel small pops and cracks in the ear wile hearing the mid-high level sounds. Mid-high level sound will cause the ringing to sound more high pitched, it will go away when the sound stops. Sounds around me sometimes seem amplified, mostly when ringing is louder.

The drug that I forgot to mention was called; "Antivert". It took alot of the dizziness away, the only thing was, it made me very sleepy, and woozy. Sorta like the effects
of Benadryl. It makes your mouth dry as well, so I advise everyone to drink alot of liquids, preferbly water. The inner ear imbalance unfortunately has no known cure. It is an
off and on thing. It just depends on your body. Some people will have this imbalance etc
for several months, sometimes for several days maybe even a several hours and it will go away, but keep this in mind, it will go away eventually! That is why it is vital to keep your mind busy, and try your best to keep your immune system at a high level. If the dizziness becomes dibilitating, try the antivert. Try whatever you can to alleviate the ailments. Sometimes, it may not be an inner ear problem, and maybe a low blood sugar problem, as well as dehydration. These ailments cause dizziness as well. When my blood sugar is low, I find that taking a spoonful of sugar or two, in minutes the dizziness is gone. Sometimes, when I don't drink enough water, I get dizzy. After drinking a couple of glasses of water I start feeling better. It could be a multiple of things that can be affecting your body. You need to test your body out, and figure out what may be ailing you. Doctors are good for alot of things, but sometimes your own common sense, and well knowing of your own body would cure what ails you. Doctors do not know everything! and You are the only one who knows your body better than anyone, so also keep that in mind! May God Bless everyone with Abundant health, Long life, and Peace!

I believe these symptoms are due to an inbalance of the inner ear. Than it is worsened when allergies are aggravating it. Also, when you take showers, it is wise to try and not get water in the ears. Try wearing ear plugs when you take showers. As a teenager, I went through bouts of vertigo, and even now I still on occasion do, due to a diagnosis of an inbalance of my inner ear. I was put on a drug that made me very sleepy. But it did calm my dizziness down quite a bit, but most of my day was sleeping, and I had missed alot of school in the process. The best advice I can give you is, avoid ear infections at all costs! atleast try, by keeping your immune system high, washing hands regularly to prevent colds, wearing earplugs when you take showers, use air purifiers in your home to prevent allergies, keep your home as clean as possible, as allergy sufferers need to live in a very clean and sterile home. If you do develop
an ear infection, take antibiotics orally as well as in the ear, asap so you won't suffer so much. get rid of the infection quickly! Get plenty of rest, and hydrate your body with water. To combat the depression, try keeping your mind always busy on something. Try memory games, exercising your mind. The more you dwell on the ailment you are having the depressed you will be. Also, a simple prayer to release your cares wouldn't hurt either. I hope this helps!!

i have identical symptoms, tight neck and shoulders too. i can live with all the other symptoms but the spells of dizziness and being off balance are the scariest because they just seem to take over your whole world. the only diagnosis i got from a doctor was allergic rhinitis. several people have told me its most likely allergies. the symptoms seem pretty spooky for just being allergic reactions, but i cant do much about it and this sort of thing seems to stump doctors.

I have sleepiness; fullness mainly in the right ear, but also some in the left ear;
constant and loud tinnitus; fog brain; lightheadedness, dizziness, and swooning; headaches; and an overall pressure or tight feeling in my head. I feel depressed and only want to sit when having these symptoms. I look forward to going to bed at night to escape living with this. Recently, I've begun to get up with a stiff neck. Some days it will wear off and some days it stays with me. I started these symptoms when I was in my mid 40's. It started with dizziness. I was sent to several doctors (GP, ENT, etc.) and then to Duke for tests of all kinds. NO ONE was able to diagnose my problem. They just told me to come back the next time I had a "spell." For years, I have had "spells" that have varying symptoms from the above list. Those symptoms used to last 10 minutes and go away. Then they started lasting for an hour. Then for 3 hours and continued to build until they now last for days (2 or 3 weeks). All will go away except the tinnitus, which is 24/7, for awhile, but I live in fear of when the symptoms will return. I have tried everything offered. I have tried journaling to see if anything is consistent. I have been to numerous doctors and dentists over the years (I'm now in my mid 50's.) and NOTHING helps. It's been suggested that I may have Minere's Disease, vertigo, chronic sinusitis, eustachion tube problems, TMJ, allergies, middle ear problems, stress, menopause, etc. Yet, when treated for any of these conditions, NOTHING has helped. In fact, some meds have made it worse. I have been doing extensive reading and found that increasing serotonin levels might relieve ear problems. Since I knew that I tend to have low serotonin, I bought 5-HTP at the health food store and take one nightly. That has held off the spells for awhile; however, I am suffering as I write. With so many people having these symptoms, I think it must be something the doctors are unaware of at this point. I wonder if there is a doctor out there reading our miseries.

High frequency sounds will cause pain in the right ear. When I open my jaw all the way I can hear cracking by the ears, along with an increased ringing in the right ear. If i flex my ear muscles I can hear a lot of cracking. Sometimes if I stretch my neck the area around my right ear will hurt.
When i lay on my right side the right ear will fell like it is "filling up", when i lay on my left side i will feel a draining sensation. During the day I will get the feeling that my right ear is draining into my throat. It sometimes feels like I have a lump in my throat, if I rub it, and around my neck I will get the liquid and draining feeling in my ear, also my throat sometimes feels swollen.

Over the counter decongestants do not help me.

I was on antibiotics for a week and they did nothing. I am on rhinocort aqua for allergies, that does not help.

I have been to an ENT, he took some blood work and looked in my ears and said they looked fine, blood work is fine, he said to lower salt intake (did nothing)
