salicylates (asprin) and nonsteroidal anti-inflammitory medications (ibuprofen, motrin, advil, alleve) often cause tinnitus

Went to the ENT once about ringing in ear. I felt as is I was going insaine, that constant ring. He said "It's a very common condition . Some peope have actually gone insaine from it." No solutions. Told my brother about it and he said he had had it too. Stopped taking asperin and it went away. At that time I was taking asperin. When I stopped taking it the ringing went away. Other medications can also cause ringing in the ears.
