Ringing in left ear, hearing loss - how to fix?

Hello, everybody. Since the winter of 2015, I have suffered with a terrible condition affecting my ears that is driving me to insanity and has caused me much grief. I have been suffering from hearing loss and Tinnitus in my left ear, and it has been making life very difficult for me. Trying to sleep with the ringing is a chore, and attempting to hold a conversation in a mall or a store or anywhere is annoying. Even if the person is right next to me, I still find myself constantly going "what?". I also find that I need to pop my ears constantly, by holding my nostrils shut with my fingers and then blowing. However, my hearing only improves for a few seconds at best before becoming muffled again.

A few things to know;

*I recently visited a Nurse Practitioner who refused to clean my ears, because he believed that I had a perforation in my left ear. I visited an ENT surgeon a day later so he could look at it, and he said my ears are "perfect."

*Around the time I began suffering from this hearing loss, my wisdom teeth began coming in. My left one came up, the top of the tooth broke through, and then stopped. Could it be that? Could it be TMJ or something?

*I also spend a lot of time listening to music, and as a kid, I used to blast it. But that still doesn't explain why I need to keep popping my ears.. I have a cousin who needed tubes put in her ears to help them drain, maybe I need 'em too.

*If I move my jaw in a certain way, my left ear begins to hurt like crazy. If I push my teeth together HARD, I can change the intensity of the Tinnitus. No idea what that's about.

I apologize for my long-winded question. I just wanted to list as many details as I could before posting. I'd love to hear some responses that could maybe open doors to some relief and an improvement to my quality of life. It truly is making me quite depressed.

I understand how frustrating this is!  That's terrible.  I've had the things you describe and had it on and off for a long period a few years ago.  For me, I had Eustachian tube dysfunction.  This is way in your ear.  I also had vertigo with it (awful).  What an ENT told me to do which really helped was to hold my nose and blow.  It will pop your ears and is called a reverse ear pop.  Do it over and over.  I also chewed gum.  Other things that help, an over the counter antihistamine like Claritan.  And another thing to try that you don't want to take all the time but it would be worth seeing if it helps is pseudophedrine.  You buy this at the drug store but they now keep it with the pharmacist as it is an ingredient used to make other drugs.  It's not controlled itself or anything like that, but they just regulate how much any one person can buy in order to make sure it's being used appropriately.  But it also helps.  Anyway, let me know if any of this helps you.  I sure hope it does.

Thank you, my friend. I fear it could be something with my Eustachian tubes. This theory can be supported by the fact that one of my close relatives had to have a surgery for it, had tubes put in her ears. I will look into your advice and see what works.
